Visiting Assistant Professor, Anatomy & Physiology, Department of Biological Sciences

Idaho State University’s Department of Biological Sciences invites applications for two 9-month, full time, Visiting Assistant Professors in Anatomy and Physiology, preferably system level (e.g., cardiovascular, renal, gastrointestinal) to join our faculty team beginning August, 2026. The assistant professors will teach anatomy and physiology and make other contributions to the biology curriculum based on their area of expertise. Coordination of labs, student advising, and other duties will be part of the assigned teaching load. A demonstrated ability to engage undergraduate students in research is strongly preferred. Commitment to high-quality instruction in a student-centered environment, interest in active and collaborative learning, and enthusiasm for working in a multidisciplinary environment are all expected features of successful candidates. Ideal candidates will have a focus on student success and foster an engaging learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds with a broad range of educational goals.
